Stabilising High Solid SBR Latex Supply for a Vietnamese Foam Producer

The challenge

A mid-sized Vietnamese foam manufacturer producing mattress and furniture foam was experiencing inconsistent SBR latex quality from multiple small traders, leading to foam density variation and production line downtime. They needed a single coordination point that could verify supplier documentation and stabilise grade consistency across shipments.

Our approach

Essencia Trade assessed the customer's application requirements — foam density targets, processing line parameters, and monthly volume patterns. We identified two qualified high-solid SBR latex supply resources, coordinated TDS and COA documentation for both, arranged pre-shipment samples for customer validation, and structured a rolling quarterly supply programme with flexitank shipments via Ho Chi Minh City port.

Results

Foam density variation reduced from ±8% to within ±3% of target. Production line downtime related to raw material issues dropped by over 70% within the first six months. The customer transitioned from reactive spot buying to a planned supply programme with consistent grade and documentation.
